If you have any questions or would like to share any information we also have a Pooh & Friends Message Forum! This is a great way to keep in contact with everyone.

Let's get to a few details about the Round Robins.

What Is A Round Robin?
A Round Robin is the name given to a group of stitchers who get together as a group to exchange and stitch on each other’s sampler.

First of all a team needs to be constructed of 2 or more people. Each participant will choose a pattern which relates to the theme.
Each one of the persons will prepare a piece of Aida divided into the amount of participants. Example: if there is a team of 9, the Aida would be divided into 9 little squares like a tic-tac-toe board. In the middle space will be embroidered something connected to subject of the Round Robin. Example: if the main subject is "Pooh" you could stitch a letter P or a pot of hunny, if the subject was "Rabbit's Garden" you could stitch a garden or some carrots.

Once you finish you should carefully fold your work and send it in a proper package to the next team member on the list. The next team member receiving the package will start working on the same Aida with a different picture of the same subject of that Aida. Once each participant finishs stitching the Aida, it will be sent to the next team member on the list. Everybody is kindly request to sign or initial their pattern.

When all of the squares on the each Aida are filled up, it will be send back to the original owners. Every team member who participanted will gets a unique piece at the end. Example: If 9 people take part, 9 Aida were created and the every original owners get theirs back. Each movement of the Aidas will be accompanied with a e-mail address to everybody on the list, so at any given time you will be able to know who's skilled hands your Aida is with. In the event that a package gets lost in the mail, the orginal owner's address will be marked on the package, that way if it turns up later on, the original owner gets in back.

In the end you will have had the chance to meet new people, you will had the chance to compare your ability with other cross stitchers, learning from them and know that your precious works are somewhere around world! So let's go on and try!!!

When Does It Start?

As soon as I have enough participants with similar themes/interests, I will send out the group list including e-mail and mailing addresses.

Before each new theme is started all the team participants will have an open forum to discuss the size of the Aida, insurancing the package from place to place, amount of time it stays with each participant, etc.

What About Stitching Supplies?

You will buy your own Aida, Floss & Pattern. After speaking with several members, it was brought to my attention that there are different dye lots of floss. So in order to ensure that the colors are the same, we have decided that the first member should send along a floss color chart, that they used.

Backstitching:

I've had a lot of questions and confusion about backstitching. The general consensus has been that all backstitching will wait until you get your own piece back. There is such a difference in technique, that everyone I've talked to agreed that they would rather do their own.

Taking Care Of Each Others Pieces:

Please be aware of allergies. Take care not to smoke or eat when handling one another’s samplers. Accidents do happen. Wash your hands before you do any stitching. Also remove hoops from the sampler when not stitching.

Mailing The Pieces:

Place the sampler in a ziplock bag to keep it clean and protected. Then enclose any special instructions in a large bubble wrap mailer. They are inexpensive and available at discount stores and supermarkets. They work well for repeated mailings. Notify me and the next person on the list when you send a piece. When you receive a piece notify me and the sender.

Photos Of Finished Samplers:

If at the time your sampler is completed you would send me a picture of it, I could post it on the site and everyone could enjoy seeing your work.

Responsibilities:

It will be your responsibility to notify me and the next person on your list if an emergency causes you to fall behind or if you need to pull out of the Round Robin.

You must also notify me if your mailing or e-mail address changes.

It's as easy at that!!! So come on, fill out the form below. You will receive a roster of team members wanting to join your theme when a complete team can be constructed. Different variations of a Round Robin are possible and encouraged.
